AI based Parking solution for Truckers

The US Department of Transportation (DOT) has been trying to improve safety of long-haul truckers for many years now. The law that mandates truckers to stop and rest after 8 hours of driving is aimed at this goal! But truckers are finding it hard to find a safe spot on their journey.
To solve this problem, the department of transportation is building a real time database with occupancy of truck parking lots. Uncanny Vision has partnered with the US DoT to implement truck spot counting using cameras mounted at a high pole. With poor connectivity and power infrastructure at many of these lots, Uncanny Vision has worked with hardware partners to provide a turn-key solution for this use case.
With real time occupancy counts available from an app, truckers can not only optimize their schedule but also reserve a spot, so they can be assured that a safe spot will be available when they arrive at the rest station!
